A lot of girls my age step away from sport (especially football) because people say it’s not for girls and that annoys me because some girls are better than the boys.

What’s your advice to someone thinking about dropping out of sport?

Don’t do it! Sport is good for your head.

Is there any advice you have for parents trying to support their daughter participating in sport?

Encourage them to keep going, because sometimes everyone needs a little push and it’s great for their mental and physical health.

Join the sport no matter what people say. Do what’s going to make you happy as it doesn’t matter what other people say, it’s your life.

My female sporting role model is Katie McCabe, to even imagine leading your country out and especially at the World Cup gives me goosebumps. I would love to get to where she is.
